The IJTLD (ISSN:1815-7920) provides a free-to-publish journal for authors (mainly in LMICs), who lack open access funding and conduct research on respiratory health.
The Journal primarily focuses on infectious diseases, including TB and non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) infections, alongside the role of risk factors and comorbidities, with the aim of improving clinical care, policy and practise.

There are no fees for articles that meet our recommended page lengths, but there are fees for additional pages or supplementary data - see Journal Publication Charges
Funding agencies have recently mandated that authors must publish exclusively in fully-OA journals.
We are committed to maintaining the IJTLD for authors in LMICs who lack OA funding, while also launching a new title, IJTLD OPEN, which covers a broader range of topics with additional article types.
To ensure we apply the same quality standards for open access publishing, both journals have the same Editorial Board with an identical peer review process and acceptance criteria. Before submitting, please check whether your article is better suited to the IJTLD or IJTLD Open.
The latest peer-reviewed articles on TB and HIV; respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD; and the hazards of tobacco and air pollution. Recent coverage has expended to include COVID-19 and the interplay between TB-COVID-19 and other co-morbidities.

The Union Launches Two Free Online Courses on Tuberculosis
Global efforts to combat tuberculosis (TB) face increasing challenges, including funding constraints and the need for scalable training solutions. In response, The Union has launched two new free online courses to strengthen the skills of health professionals worldwide. Both courses are self-paced, fully online, and designed to support clinicians and programme managers in improving TB diagnosis and management.
