Union Offices

The Union has three offices
serving Africa – in Uganda, Zimbabwe and DR Congo – as well as partnerships
 with both francophone and anglophone
 countries throughout the continent.
In addition to its technical assistance,
education and research programmes in
tuberculosis, multidrug-resistant TB and
TB-HIV, The Union assists these countries
to improve their management of asthma,
child pneumonia, and other lung diseases. Tobacco control has become another
 growing area of Union activity.

The Union Uganda Office: In October 2007, The Union officially opened its first country-based office in sub-Saharan Africa. The office is located in the newly renovated National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Programme (NTLP) building. It manages the TB REACH project.
