Journal Publication Charges

Excess Page Charges

Authors are requested to comply with Journal requirements in terms of article length, clearly set out in the Instructions to Authors. Articles that do not will be sent back for modification.

If the author is unable to comply, an excess page charge of 200€ per page is applied for each page over 6 journal pages for Original articles and 10 journal pages for Review articles. Authors may add excess tables and figures to an online appendix (see below).

Online Appendix

Supplementary material (additional text, tables and figures) can be submitted for posting online with the pdf version of the article. There is a standard charge of 100€ as a composition fee, which will be invoiced at proof stage.

The material should be submitted at the same time as the rest of the manuscript, clearly labelled Online Appendix. It will be peer reviewed in the same way as the rest of the manuscript.

All information included in the Online Appendix should be carefully reviewed, as it will not be copyedited or proofread by IJTLD staff.

Colour Figures

Journal guidelines stipulate that illustrations will not be published in colour unless the cost of reproducing them is covered by the authors. The cost of publishing one page in colour in print is US$ 950.

Another option is available to authors of publishing figures in black and white in the paper version of the journal and in colour in the electronic version. The cost is 90€ for a single figure, 120€ for two figures and 140€ for three figures.

Open Access

Articles can be made Open Access at the time of online publication, for a charge of 1500€.

If for funding reasons an article requires a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license and/or deposit onto Europe PMC/PMC, the author should inform the Editorial Office on acceptance.
