Next year, The Union will hold its Conference of The Union Latin America Region in conjunction with the Latin American Thorax Association (ALAT, for its initials in Spanish) Annual Congress from 3-6 July. ALAT’s 12th Congress will take place in Panama at the Atlapa Convention Centre.
The partnership was agreed last Saturday at the ERS International Congress, held this year in Paris.
Both Dr. Gustavo Zabert, ALAT President, and José Luis Castro, Executive Director of The Union, expressed their dedication to work closely for the Congress. José Luis Castro said “We have committed our two organisations to advance tuberculosis and tobacco control in the Latin American region".
