Resources for Journalists

Media briefings

The Union publishes backgrounders on different topics as a resource for journalists. These briefings include an overview of a public health issue, information about what The Union is doing, Union experts with contact information, and a reference list for further reading.

J2J training on lung health

The National Press Foundation and The Union offer a 3-day Journalist-to-Journalist (J2J) training on lung health issues each year in conjunction with the Union World Conference on Lung Health. The training is designed for working journalists who want to increase their knowledge and skills at developing stories on lung health and related issues, such as the social, political and economic impact of lung disease. Sessions also cover the latest research, solutions and innovations that are in the pipeline.

Approximately 15 fellows are chosen each year from some 200 applicants worldwide. The J2J fellowships cover the training, registration for the conference, travel, accommodation, and expenses.
