Programme de développement de la gestion internationale

Le Programme de Développement de la Gestion Internationale (PDGI) de L'Union a été créé pour aider les pays, avec la lourde tâche d'exploiter un programme de santé national, en formant des professionnels de santé en matière d'enseignement de gestion. Le PDGI a pour mission de développer une communauté de leaders et d'innovateurs en santé publique qui améliorent la qualité des services fournis au public grâce à une bonne gestion des programmes de santé nationaux.

 

Le programme d'études du PDGI est centré sur les problèmes clés tels que :

  • Développer des budgets destinés aux programmes de santé nationaux et donateurs internationaux
  • Organiser et former le personnel de santé à travers les différentes provinces et régions
  • Coordonner les médicaments et les fournitures
  • Motiver le personnel surmené
  • Créer des plans de communication pour diffuser des messages de santé importants
  • Adhérer à des stratégies qui augmentent les taux de détection

The success of a health project is most often determined by how well a project was planned during its inception. Project planning is one of the fundamental steps involved in any health programme. Anyone in charge of managing aspects of a health initiative find that they must tackle key elements concerning the project such as identifying project stakeholders, establishing a timeline for activities, determining the core objectives, and drafting a budget. Great care and attention must be paid during this crucial stage of a health project to ensure that activities run smoothly and stay on track.

The training uses a variety of methods based on action learning principles such as group work, peer support, and case studies. This is complimented by presentations on relevant theoretical framework and emerging trends. Participants will engage in practical exercises that will build their capacity in international donor applications as well as strengthening their project management abilities.

To do this, the leader has to work in an environment that is complex and requires working with many different individuals who often have opposing interests, expectations, and goals. To keep a health programme running smoothly managers must learn to build consensus within groups and across organisations. This course, a part of the IMDP’s facilitative leadership series, guides participants through conflict management, relationship nurturing, and coalition building in order to train participants to create networks that can help ensure a health programme meets its goals.
