The scope of The Union's technical courses has expanded to meet the changing needs of today's health care professionals and public health programmes. While thorough training in the prevention, treatment and control of tuberculosis continues to be one of The Union's strengths, other courses address specific skills needed for management of MDR-TB, tobacco control, operational research, child lung health management, TB/HIV collaborative programmes and more
International Tuberculosis Course
The course requires good knowledge of oral and written English and is targeted at health care personnel from Asian countries who have responsibility for tuberculosis control at the regional/provincial and national levels.
The course consists of the following modules which are taught by globally renowned experts in their respective fields:
- Bacteriologic basis of tuberculosis control
- Epidemiologic basis for tuberculosis control
- Clinical presentation and diagnosis of tuberculosis
- Intervention strategies in tuberculosis control
- Principles of a national tuberculosis control programme
- The National Tuberculosis Programme in Vietnam
Participants will need to obtain funding for the following:
- Tuition fee (3000 Euros)
- Travel
- Accommodation
- Perdiem/Incidental expenses
Applicants will need to submit an online application, a curriculum vitae (PDF format) and a written confirmation from their sponsor (PDF format).
