The Union offers both management and technical training programmes to strengthen the capacity for effective tobacco control in countries with the highest burden of tobacco use.

MPOWER and technical training

The Union and the World Health Organization collaborate on technical trainings and workshops that assist countries to meet requirements under the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) and are based on its available guidelines, the MPOWER tobacco control strategy and global best practices.

Management training for tobacco control organisations

Through The Union's International Management Development Programme, management courses that are designed specifically for middle and senior managers working in tobacco control are offered in five core areas. The courses provide managers with increased knowledge and experience and help organisations build the skills needed to seek funding and implement successful projects.
