MSF and The Union work in many countries on operational research, vital registration systems and the operational research training course [MOU].
Baobab Health Trust
The Union works with the Baobab Health Trust in Malawi on electronic data systems for monitoring patients on antiretroviral therapy and diabetes mellitus [MOU].
Desmond Tutu TB Centre
The Desmond Tutu TB Centre in Cape Town is a Union Collaborating Centre. Operational research collaborations focus on TB and respiratory-related issues, mainly involving children, through the support of two operational research fellows [MOU]

Public Health Foundation of India
The Union works with this foundation on operational research capacity building through a modularproduct-orientated training course for 10 participants per year. [MOU]
AMPATH, Eldoret, Kenya
The Union is working with AMPATH on operational research in the field of tuberculosis, drug-resistant tuberculosis, intensified TB screening in HIV-infected pregnant women and screening of patients with diabetes mellitus for tuberculosis through the support of two operational research fellows [MOU].

The Union engages in teaching on the various courses run by the LSHTM.
World Health Organization (WHO)
The Union and WHO have collaborated extensively on TB research over the years.
Stop TB Partnership
The Union is involved in an initiative of the Stop TB Partnership to develop operational research and develop a global framework for collaborative activities to reduce the joint burden of diabetes and tuberculosis.
TDR
United Nations Special Programme on Tropical Disease and Research (TDR) The Union and TDR collaborate on operational research projects in Africa.
World Diabetes Foundation (WDF)
The Union and WDF are working to acquire European Union funding for our recently developed global research agenda on diabetes and tuberculosis and to develop a global framework and interim guidelines for the joint management of the two diseases, in collaboration with WHO.
