Training is an essential component of all Union technical assistance activities. In the area of child lung health, Union experts conduct training on topics such as management of childhood lung disease, evaluating the severity of pneumonia, use of oxygen and management of TB and HIV-related lung disease. In addition, formal courses are offered at the request of ministries of health, national tuberculosis control programmes and other agencies.
