Each year The Union provides technical assistance, conducts research and offers education and training activities in more than 75 countries with a focus on tuberculosis, HIV, tobacco control and lung health and non-communicable diseases. Your gifts are vital to the success of our efforts to bring innovation, expertise, solutions and support to address health challenges in low- and middle-income populations.
Your gift makes a difference: A gift of 50 euros (or equivalent) can cure a patient of tuberculosis, provide 20 HIV tests, or treat 14 babies with pneumonia.

Online: Making a donation online via PayPal is easy and convenient. PayPal accepts donations made with debit cards, credit cards and by direct deposit to a PayPal account. A legacy is an amount of money or property left to a person or an organisation in a will. It may be modified or cancelled at any time by the person making the bequest. Property transfer of the legacy takes place only after the decease of the person making the bequest.
In France: As a registered public charity (Association Reconnue d'Utilité Publique) since 2 November 1999, The Union is entitled to receive legacies. Legacies left to The Union are exempt from all inheritance taxes. To find out more, please contact your legal advisor.
In the UK: As a registered charity, The Union office can receive legacies, and there is no capital gains tax to be paid on them. To find out more, contact your local tax office.
In the United States: As a non-profit, public charity organisation registered in the State of New York, The Union is qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the US Internal Revenue Code.
Tax advantages of making a gift to The Union
In France: Gifts from French organisations, corporations and individual residents are tax-deductible within the limits of the law. The Union accounts are certified by an external auditor and are available on request. Legacies left to The Union are exempt of all succession dues-
In the USA: Donors from the United States may make tax-deductible donations to the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Inc., a non-profit tax-exempt organisation under 501 (c) (3) of the US Internal Revenue Code.
In the UK: Individuals donating through The Union UK Office may claim tax relief. They should contact their local tax office and provide The Union UK Office's registered charity number SC039880.
In other countries: Donors should consult their own fiscal advisor with regard to the fiscal status of their gift.
