Public Health Action (PHA) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that actively encourages, communicates and reports new knowledge, dialogue and controversy in health systems and services for poor and vulnerable people.

PHA welcomes the submission of articles on operational research, including policy, practice, systems, quality assurance/quality improvement, economics, equity, ethics and access to services.

PHA will consider all manuscripts containing original research and commissions authoritative reviews on issues related to operational research on the quality, accessibility and equity of health services for the poor, provided they are not concurrently submitted to, or previously published, in other journals.

Manuscripts should conform to the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals http://www.icmje.org/index.htm, and must be submitted via the Manuscript Central online tracking system http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/pha
