The Union’s International Management Development Programme (IMDP) was created to aid countries with the difficult task of operating a national health programme by training health professionals in management education. The IMDP’s mission is to develop a community of leaders and innovators in public health who improve the quality of services provided to the public through well-managed national health programmes.
The IMDP’s curriculum addresses key issues such as:
-Developing budgets for national health programmes and international donors
-Organising and training health staff across various regions and provinces
-Coordinating medicines and supplies
-Motivating overworked staff
-Creating communications plans to disseminate important health messages
-Adhering to strategies that boost detection rates
Further information may also be found on the IMDP website at www.union-imdp.org.
By mastering leadership skills, participants will be able to direct and influence any group of personnel in or outside of an organisation. Senior experts in public health and management training integrate lectures, role-playing scenarios, and work simulations that guide participants through critical questions and effective solutions in advanced management training.
