The  Annual Conference of The Union North America Region is a meeting where experts, physicians, nurses, and other public health practitioners that specialise in the field of tuberculosis (TB) meet to discuss the state of TB , progress and improvements, as well as challenges and obstacles in their area. The theme for this year’s past meeting, the 16^th
was “Current Challenges, Strategies, and Advances in TB.” It was held in San Antonio, Texas, USA and 250 participants attended.  The meeting addressed relevant clinical and programmatic issues, introduced innovative tools, and suggested practical approaches for TB prevention, care and control.
