Tobacco billboards becoming a thing of the past in Bogor City

In2008 there were 372 billboards advertising tobacco products in Bogor City, Indonesia. As of May 2010, the number had dropped to 72. This is just one visible sign of the changes taking place in Bogor City, the second Indonesian city to go smokefree.

A consultative meeting was organized by the Secretariat of the Partnership for TB care and control in India at The Union South-East Asia Office on 10 May 2010 to discuss ways of enhancing private sector involvement in India’s TB care and control efforts.
