The Union Asia Pacific Office The Union Office in Singapore opened in early 2010. The Union Asia Pacific Office The Union China OfficeThe China Resource Centre was created in 2004 with the mandate to facilitate the FIDELIS projects in the region. With nearly 17% of the world’s burden of tuberculosis, China was the site of 15 FIDELIS projects designed to improve access to tuberculosis treatment in rural and underserved areas. In 2006, the mandate of the centre was expanded to include tobacco control activities. It was renamed The Union China Office in 2009. The Union China Office The Union Myanmar OfficeThe Union has been working with the Ministry of Health in Myanmar since 2002 when it audited its national TB programme. In order to scale up TB and HIV control and to pilot test its Integrated HIV Care for Tuberculosis Patients Living with HIV/AIDS (IHC) programme, The Union opened an office in Mandalay. In 2005, Myanmar became one of the first countries to implement the IHC Programme.
